• Grasp hip belt ends with both hands and pull tight
(Fig. 28). Push belt loops to left and right to hold loose
belt ends in position.
• Adjust shoulder straps until the desired weight distribu-
tion between shoulders and hips is attained.
• Suspend full face mask from neck (see Instructions for
Use for full face mask).
• Don full face mask, tighten mask harness and check
facepiece-to-face fit (palm test (Fig. 29) (see also
Instructions for Use for full face mask).
• Open cylinder valve with approx. two turns of handwheel
(Fig. 30).
Connect the lung governed demand valve to the facepiece
(see Instructions for Use of lung governed demand valve).

Use

From time to time during use check tight connection
between lung governed demand valve (see Instructions for
Use for lung governed demand valve) and facepiece (see
Instructions for Use for facepiece) as well as air supply on
the pressure gauge. If the air supply is reduced to the
activating pressure of the warning device, a whistle sounds
(retreat signal) which continues till the air supply has been
reduced to a pressure of approx. 10 bar. When the whistle
starts to sound, the user must return to fresh air. Earlier
retreats may be ordered as required. the pressure reading
on the pressure gauge can be used to fix earlier starts for
longer than normal retreat times.

After Use

Removing the Apparatus
• Disconnect the lung-governed demand valve from the
facepiece (see Instructions for Use of lung governed
demand valve).
• Remove full face mask (see Instructions for Use for full
face mask).
• Close cylinder valve of apparatus (see Sect. 3.3), activate
flushing mode of lung governed demand valve until air is
released; the apparatus then is depressurized.
• Push opening button of hip belt buckle from body side
towards front - the buckle opens (Fig. 31).
Loosening of Harness
• Extend shoulder straps by lifting the metal slides
(Fig. 32).
• Remove apparatus.
