Cleaning

Thoroughly clean dirty apparatus components after use. If
necessary, clean carrying plate with lukewarm water. To do
this, disconnect pressure reducer from carrying plate
(loosen fixing screws) or close high pressure connection of
pressure reducer (cylinder connection), resp. do not
submerse pressure reducer in water. Remove residual
moisture by drying at max. 60 °C.
For cleaning, do not use organic solvents, such as nitrous
dilution, alcohol, spirits, gasoline, trichloro-ethylene etc.
If very dirty, the entire harness including the metal fixtures
can be washed in
40 °C. Velcro fasteners should be closed for washing.
7.7 Function and Tightness Test
The function and tightness test must be performed accor-
ding to Sect. 7.3.1 und 7.4.

Storage

Storage of the apparatus should be in a dry place, free from
dust and dirt, at approx. 20 °C. Protect against direct
sunlight.

Malfunctions

Since human lives depend on the faultless functioning of the
apparatus, in case of malfunctions (excessively high
breathing resistance, leaks, etc.) the apparatus must be
checked by authorized service personnel or MSA AUER.
