Installing the Hardware

Refer to the ESP-LX Modular Controller Programming
and Operation Guide for controller installation
instructions.
Follow these procedures for installing either the U-DTC-
LXM-PR or U-DTC-LXM-R Upgrade Kits.
If you have an LXM-DTC Satellite Controller skip ahead
to page 9.
NOTE: the ESP-LX Modular Controller is
designed to allow safe installation of the DTC-
LXM Communication Interface Cartridge with
the power on.

Remove the Access Panel

1 Unlock and open the outer door of the ESP-LX
Modular Controller.
2 Swing open the controller front panel.

Remove the access plate from the back of the front
panel, exposing the communications cartridge bay.
