Setting Offset Temperature
The incubator has been calibrated to display the actual
temperature at the center of the chamber. It has been
calibrated at 55.0°C therefore the display will be most
accurate at this temperature setting. You may wish to
recalibrate the incubator to obtain the highest accuracy at
another temperature, or to set the temperature to read the
actual temperature inside a typical sample inside a sam-
ple tube. To do this, use a thermometer to determine the
temperature in the chamber or inside the sample, then fol-
low this procedure to set the offset.
1.
Note the difference between the displayed tem-
perature and the sample temperature. For exam-
ple, if the displayed temperature is 45.0°C and
the sample temperature is 42.0°C, the offset is -
3.0°C. This means that the display should read
3.0°C lower than it now shows.
2.
Press the menu key once so the display shows
CAL.
3.
Press and hold either the up or down arrow key
to set the desired offset. In the example above,
you would set the offset to -3.0°C.
4.
Check the temperature accuracy again and
change the offset as necessary to achieve the
desired temperature.

Temperature Deviation
With the temperature deviation mode on, the maximum
deviation of the actual temperature from the set tempera-
ture will be stored and displayed when recalled. With this
function off, temperature deviation will not be displayed.
