All wiring should be done by licensed electricians in accordance with local codes. Improper installation or use may result in seri-
ous injury. Always remove oven from power source before troubleshooting or repairing.
II.
OVEN TYPE DESCRIPTION (cont)
It is essential that a general inspection of the oven be con-
ducted at this time:
CHECK ALL COMPONENTS FOR PROPER TIGHTNESS
CHECK ALL WIRING FOR TERMINAL TIGHTNESS
CHECK BLOWER BELT FOR PROPER TIGHTNESS
CHECK DOOR FOR PROPER ADJUSTMENTS
This unit was wired and tested at the factory and need only
be connected to the proper line voltage. (Factory wired for
3/60/480V, can easily be converted for 3/60/240V connec-
tion; see wiring diagram.) It is strongly recommended that a
fused safety disconnect switch be installed in close proximi-
ty to the oven.
Operation
A. Start-up (all switches in "OFF" position.)
1. Turn on power to the oven.
2. If "Red" light is on, push the reset button to reset high-limit
control.
Set temperature controller at desired temperature;
3.
Hold the Ý button and press the 5 or 6 button to
change the set-point

Description of Controls
A. The controller in this oven is a full-indicating, PID (pro-
portional, integral, derivative) controller using a Type J ther-
mocouple sensor. The controller is factory set for optimum
performance accuracy with a 400 lb load at maximum tem-
perature.
B. The high-limit control is a mechanical device with on-off
control action and a manual reset. The high-limit control will
shut down the oven heat when the oven temperature reach-
es the high-limit set point. The red indicator light with the
message "RESET" on the control will illuminate if this occurs
and will stay lit until the reset button is pushed. In order to
regain power to the heating elements, the oven must cool
down below the high-limit set temperature and the reset but-
ton must be pushed.
