3.2 | Safety instructions

WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with limited physical
and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge of handling
motorcycles (e.g. older children)!
• The product may include small parts which could be swallowed, and plastic
packaging film. Keep these parts out of the reach of children to avoid the
danger of swallowing and choking or suffocation.
WARNING!
Risk of accident!
• Fitting the handlebar grips requires some technical know-how. Never allow oil
or grease to get underneath or on the grips.
• If you find any traces of lubricant on the surface, it must be cleaned off
thoroughly.
• Check that the throttle twistgrip can rotate freely and can spring back into its
initial position when released.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
• To avoid injuries when removing the old grips and fitting the new ones, ensure
that the motorcycle cannot topple over and that the workplace is well lit.
• You must only install the grips yourself if you have the necessary technical
knowledge. Otherwise it is imperative that you contact a motorcycle workshop.

4 | Installation

4.1 | Preparation

Before starting work on your bike, find a suitable place where you can work undisturbed and tidily.
Lay out the tools and required parts. Then place the vehicle securely on the stand and fully cover the
bike tank with a cloth to protect the paintwork. Before fitting the grips, check that they are the right
diameter for your handlebar, by using a calliper gauge, for example. The right grip has a slightly larger
inside diameter than the left grip, as it has to fit over the throttle twistgrip.
