ERROR MESSAGES

The Power Peak FUN DUO POWER is equipped with a range of safety features to ensure
that charge and discharge processes are completed reliably. As soon as an error occurs,
an appropriate message appears on the screen, and the piezo buzzer emits a warning
BID chip was disconnected during a running process, or the connection is not correct.
Check the adaptor lead and chip, re-connect the chip if necessary and start the process
No battery is connected, or there is a break in the charge current circuit. Connect the bat-
tery properly. This message also appears if the battery is connected with reversed pola-
rity. Be sure to check the connections carefully.
If you start a LiPo battery charge / discharge process without entering the correct cell
count, the process will not start; instead you will hear a warning signal for a period. The
screen then displays the 'READY' message, together with the select menu for correcting
the erroneous setting.
The Power Peak FUN DUO POWER also includes additional protective circuits which
ensure safe operation, but which do not generate on-screen error messages or audible
warnings. If the output is short-circuited, you will not be able to start a charge / discharge
process. However, there is no visual or audible warning of this. If you cannot initiate a pro-
cess, check the connections immediately. The same applies if the input voltage is con-
nected with reversed polarity; the unit will not allow you to initiate a charge / discharge
process.

GENERAL SAFETY NOTES

• The Power Peak FUN DUO POWER is suitable solely for charging and discharging
rechargeable NC / NiMH and Lithium batteries. Do not attempt to recharge dry cells -
explosion hazard.
• It is essential to protect the charger from dust, dirt and moisture.
Operating instructions
The 'READY' message then scrolls to the right and
off the screen, to be replaced by the last activated
working display (e.g. the elapsed process time).
The flashing status indicator symbol shows the
current state 'R' (READY). You can now use the
'SELECT' button to activate the additional dis-
plays and check the data relating to the process
