On failure of the compressed air release the valve lever!
Too great a grinding pressure reduces the machine's
performance and the service life of the grinding belt. If
the contact arm is fitted with a grinding pad, it must be
installed as illustrated. The grinding belt then runs under
tension without exerting an additional load on the clamp-
ing spring (see 4.2). Belt slip is therefore avoided on the
drive roller. The nonmetallic grinding pads are poor con-
ductors of grinding heat. Sustained grinding may then
cause the belt to detach from its adhesive bond. To pre-
vent this, reduce the load on the pad by lifting it at regular
intervals. Nonwoven belts must be operated at reduced
speeds.

Without a tool clamped in check no-load speed
periodically and after each maintenance. Even if
the machine still operates perfectly, the motor
should be removed, cleaned and the four slides checked
for wear by a specialist after approx. 300 to 400 operating
hours. The lubricant in the gear head (Isoflex NBU 15)
should be replaced (do not wash out).
