Valve Calibration:
When the valve is first installed, calibration must be completed to ensure accurate position sensor feedback to the sys-
tem . This is only necessary at installation or if a new motor driver, actuator or valve is installed .
****WARNING****
The valve will cycle open and closed during the calibration process . Be sure the system is not pressurized and the valve
can be cycled open and closed safely before proceeding with valve calibration .
To calibrate the valve, follow these steps:
1 . Navigate to the Valve Setup menu
2 . Use the
RED or
3 . Press the ■ ENTER button to select Valve Calibration
4 . Press the ■ START button to start the calibration process .
****WARNING****
The valve will cycle open and closed several times during the calibration process after the ■ START button is pressed .
5 . When the calibration is complete, press the ■ OK button to complete the process .
Valve Options:
The Valve Options menu allows the user to change the following options:
• Motor Installed. If the Navigator Pro is to be used as a pressure and flow gauge only (no valve installed), this option
configures the controller accordingly . When the Motor Installed option is set to NO, the valve graph will not be displayed
during normal operation, and the
• CAFS Installed. If the Navigator Pro is to be used to control a CAFS solenoid, this option configures the controller ac-
cordingly . When the CAFS Installed option is set to YES, the blue button will be available on the main screen to drive a
solenoid on or off to interface with a CAFS system .
Note: The CAFS solenoid must be connected to pin 5 of the six-pin Display connector on the valve (see Section 5.1,
"ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION").
• Auto Open. When the valve is fully closed, this option allows the valve to fully open automatically with a single press of
GREEN button, instead of requiring the button to be held down until the valve is fully opened .

Note: If the Auto Open option is enabled, the valve will only auto-open if the valve is fully closed . Once the valve is par-
tially opened, the auto-open feature won't be available again until the valve is fully closed .
To adjust these settings, follow these steps:
1 . Navigate to the Valve Setup menu

2 . Use the

4. The "Motor Installed" field will be highlighted. The default value is YES. If the controller is to be used for pressure and
flow only and a valve is not connected, use the
button to save the value . If you do not wish to change this, press the ■ NEXT button to advance to the CAFS Installed
option .
5. Now the "CAFS Installed" field will be highlighted. If a CAFS solenoid is to be driven by the system, use the RED or
GREEN button to change the value to YES . Press the ■ SET button to save the value . If you do not wish to change
this, press the ■ NEXT button to advance to the Auto Open option .
6. Now the "Auto Open" field will be highlighted. Use the RED or
to activate auto open . Press the ■ SET button to save the value . If you do not wish to change this, press the ■ DONE
button to exit the valve options menu .
