Satellite XSATHP: UNIVERSAL or SERIAL mode
Max number of peripherals/detectors connectable to the XSATHP satellite
DIP 1
MODE SERIAL: it allows the
connection of max 32 serial
peripherals/detectors
SERIAL Mode
For the procedures of acquisition/cancellation of the peripherals/detectors connected, please refer
E
to the manual of the control panel
The status of the peripheral/detectors is transmitted to the control panel directly through serial
N
communication in RS485.
G
NOTE: during communication between PC and control panel, the keypads connected to the system
might result as not connected. As soon as the USB connection between the control panel
and the PC is broken, the communication between keypads and control unit will restore.
UNIVERSAL Mode
!!!ATTENTION!!! With jumper S4 closed, the procedure of acquisition and cancellation of
the peripherals/detectors will not be working.
Procedure of acquisition of peripherals
In order to acquire the peripherals/detectors, it is necessary to execute the following procedure:
1.
Connect the peripherals/detectors to the serials 2 and 3 paying attention not to set peripherals/
detectors with the same address
2.
Set the DIP2 of SW1 in ON
3.
Wait for 1 minute; activation of the OC output corresponding to the address of the connected
peripheral/detector will confirm the occurred acquisition
4.
Set the DIP2 of SW1 in OFF in order to finish the acquisition
Procedure for peripherals cancellation
In order to cancel one peripheral/detector acquired, you have to:
1.
Disconnect the peripheral/detector to cancel
2.
Carry out the same procedure made for the acquisition
Status of detectors
The OC outputs from 1 to 8 give the status of the detectors with address from0 1 to 8
The OC outputs from 9 to 16, present on the optional board mod. XOC8, report the status of the
detectors with address from 9 to 16
PERIPHERAL/DETECTOR N. X IN ALARM: negative present on the OC output XX
PERIPHERAL/DETECTOR N. XX IN QUIET: OC output XX not active
PERIPHERAL/DETECTOR N. XX IN TAMPER ALARM: negative present on the OC output XX
and commuted relay output C/NC/NO
PERIPHERAL/DETECTOR N. XX IN DISQUALIFICATION/ANTI-MASKING/"DIRTY"LENSES:
negative present on the OC output XX
Line Inputs L1 - L2 - L3
Inputs at double balancing; if not used they must be BALANCED.
The unbalancing indication will occur with the activation of the corresponding OC output (output 1-2-
3) and will be virtually I series to a possible peripheral/detector connected, with address between 1
and 3. If these inputs are used , it is suggested to number the serial peripherals from n. 4 forward.
Input referred to the indication of armed/ disarmed L4
Balanced: system armed
Unbalanced: system disarmed. This indication is then transferred to the peripherals/detectors
connected in RS485 for the management of the Block function.

outputs and on the optional ones with the board XOC8
