Assembly of the Appliance

GB.4.1 Delivery

The Tennant 3410 is supplied ready to use. It
consists of a tank mounted on wheels, cover with
handle and cloth bag. In the pack you will have
the following: hand pipe (two pieces), elbow,
flexible suction hose, floor tool, paper filter bag.
GB.4.2 Assembly of the suction hose,
hand pipes and floor tool
Disconnect the plug from the mains
supply!
• Insert the cuff of the suction hose
into the tank.
• Assemble the two straight pipes
and elbow by simply pushing them
together. Now fit the floor tool to
the lower end of the straight pipe
and connect the end of the suction
hose to the elbow section.
The length of the wand may be
adjusted to suit the operator. Simply
remove the elbow section, turn it
arround and reinsert it into the straight
section.

Operation of the Tennant 3410
Ensure that the paper filter bag and cloth bag are
in the tank of the machine and correctly
positioned. Always ensure that filters are clean
and that the suction hose, wand and floor tool are
not blocked. Connect the plug to the mains supply
and switch the machine on by depressing the
on/off switch.

Switching off the Tennant 3410
Switch the machine off by depressing the on/off
switch. Disconnect the plug from the mains supply
wall socket. Do not pull on the cable as it may be
damaged. Always wind up the cable and hang it
on the handle/cable hanger on the top cover of
the machine.

Maintenance advice

GB.7.1 Normal maintenance

Always disconnect the plug from the mains supply
before commencing any cleaning or maintenance
of the machine. Always refer to the manufacturers
technical data and instructions when replacing
any parts.

Regular maintenance has 3 stages:
Daily inspection:
• Visually inspect machine for any damaged
parts,
• damaged cables or electrical connections and
• check that the paper filter bag is neither full nor
damaged.
Monthly maintenance:
• Check the brush strips on the floor tool - if
worn out these should be changed.
• Check the cloth bag - should it be cleaned or
replaced?
Annual check up:
• Clean the cable and inspect for damaged
insulation.
• Clean and lubricate the wheels and castors.
• Check all machine functions.
GB.7.2 Replacement of the Paper Filter
Spare filters can be purchased from your Tennant
distributor. Please note that only genuine Tennant
filters are guaranteed to give a constant high filter
performance.
• Please take note of the information printed on
each genuine Tennant paper filter bag - it will
assist you when changing the bag.
• It is easier to replace the paper filter bag if you
take out the dust bag first. Now pull the carton
flange from the tank coupling.
