4. WHAT TO DO IN THE CASE OF INCORRECT VALVE OPERATION

4.1 POSSIBLE FAULTS

Check that the settings programmed from the remote control have the correct date and time.
The valve is protected and is fitted with a system which detects possible faults.
Through the transparent cover on the module which is mounted on top of the valve can be seen
a red LED which flashes at different rates in a fault situation.
Two flashes
Four flashes
Six flashes
Eight flashes
If valve operation stops for any of the described circumstances, the distributors' technical
service should be contacted. The valve model and type of flashing should be given.
Remote control does not work: check that the batteries are correctly inserted.
Check that the batteries are good condition.
The remote control will not accept programming: poor communications between the remote
control and the valve module, try moving the control closer to the valve, if it still does not work,
the technical service should be contacted.
The valve does not respond to programming operations: change the battery inside the module.
This is accomplished by removing the module's cover, which will provide access to the electronic
card on which the battery is installed. The customer's programming is lost. These batteries are
long-lasting (approximately 3 years) (see Fig.8).
INFORMATION FOR THE TECHNICAL SERVICE
Possible faults:
The valve does not operate and the LED is off: check the input and output connections for the
24 Vdc power supply.
Check the mains supply voltage.
Check the valve input connection, inverted polarity will cause valve failure, the valve must be
connected with the correct polarity.
The LED is lit and the pump does not work: check the connection to the pump and from the
valve to the pump contactor.
LED.
2
flashes: stop microswitch not found, the microswitch may be broken.
4
flashes: excessive motor consumption due to bell braking, possibly caused by incorrect
filter operation which is allowing sand to pass through the system.
6
flashes: failure of the bell elevation microswitch.
8
flashes: the module battery requires changing.
Will not enter the wash phase: the manometer pressure is less than that set on the pressurestat
by the installer.
Causes: incorrect pressurestat adjustment, it should be adjusted by using the manometer as a
reference and adjusting the screew (1) (Fig.1). In order to establish the maximum pressure the
swimming pool return should be closed.
If it is not possible to get the valve to enter the wash process, the manufacturer should be
contacted.
The automatic valve is fitted with a battery-powered safety system, which should be checked
when the valve is installed.
Switch off the mains supply and the valve automatically connects these batteries, the valve will
position itself to FILTRATION and then shutdown.
