5.
Push the buckle tongues into the buckle, push down until the buckle locks with
a "CLICK" (Fig. 5).
6.
When using the top two harness positions the bottom edge of the head support must
be aligned with the lower edge of the jaw but above the shoulders. When using the
lower three harness positions, raise the head support to its top position (Fig. 6).
7.
Tighten the safety harness by pulling the harness adjustment strap at the bottom
of the car seat outwards. The harness must be a snug fit over the child's chest and
thighs. Check that the webbing of the harness has not become twisted (Fig. 7).
8.
Checking the harness is snug enough: Place your thumb and index finger on the
harness near the child's collar bone. Pinch the webbing, if you are able to pinch
more the 3 cm of webbing the harness needs to be tightened (Fig. 8).

Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning and maintenance of folding mechanisms and locking bolts:
Periodically inspect all folding levers and locking bolts for cleanliness and proper
function. When the folding levers are lifted, the levers and bolts should spring back
immediately when the lever is released.
WARNING:
•
Do NOT use the car seat if the folding levers and locking bolts do not
function properly. There may be an excessive build-up of debris that
cannot be removed or internal damage to the locking mechanism that
could prevent the car seat functioning properly.
•
Do NOT oil or lubricate any part of the car seat.
•
Do NOT use the car seat if there is any sign of rust on any metal surfaces.
Remove debris from the folding
mechanism areas with a soft bristle brush
Removing dried liquids or food requires
more thorough cleaning:
1.
Secure the car seat in its folded position
(see page 7).
2.
Clean with a damp cloth only. Wet a
cloth with warm water and wring
thoroughly so it does not drip water.
Then wipe the areas you wish to clean.
3.
After wiping, dry the area with a towel.
4.
Check to ensure the folding levers and locking bolts now function correctly.
•
Use ONLY water.
•
Do NOT use solvents, soap, abrasive cleaning agents or any detergents.
Cleaning the plastic shell:
