5 Operating
5.1 General
Before the instrument can be used it must first be set cor-
rectly, see section 4.
Switch the instrument on (there is no ON/OFF switch on the
instrument).
'8.8.8.' is seen in the display for a few seconds. This is a self test.
After this the instrument is ready for use.
Use the '<' and the '>' buttons to show the voltage (V), the cur-
rent (A) (charging or discharging (-)), the actual battery capacity
(%) and the time until the battery will be completely discharged.
The various LEDs show which function is operating.

Note!
Displaying the voltage [V]
Range: 9 .. 32.6 V
The value flashes when the alarm showing
either too high or too low a voltage is acti-
vated (see section 5.3).
Displaying the current [A]
Range: -199 .. +199 A
Positive means that the battery is being
charged and negative that it is being dis-
charged.
Displaying the actual battery capacity [%]
Range: 0 .. 100%
The value flashes when the alarm showing
either too high or too low battery capacity is
activated (see section 5.3).
