Removing the Sun Enterprise 250 Server
From the Rack Enclosure
Caution – The chassis is heavy. In the following procedures, two people are

required to move the chassis.
1. Power off the Sun Enterprise 250 server.
See the Sun Enterprise 250 Server Owner's Guide for instructions.
2. Turn off the AC power to the rack enclosure and remove the front and rear panels,
if applicable.
See the instructions provided with the rack enclosure.
3. Stabilize the rack enclosure by extending the anti-tilt bar or bolting the rack
securely to the floor.
See the instructions provided with the rack enclosure.
Caution – The cabinet will become front-heavy while you are removing the

Enterprise 250 server. Failure to extend the anti-tilt bar may result in the cabinet
tipping forward and injuring personnel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the expansion cabinet's power distribution unit.
See the instructions provided with the rack enclosure.
5. Disconnect any other cables connecting the Sun Enterprise 250 server to the
expansion cabinet.
