How to connect the brake resistor:
1. Disconnect the standard device from the mains and check
all power terminals for safe isolation from supply.
2. Connect brake resistor cables 0 (RB1, RB2: transparent lead)
and thermal contact cable 1 (T1, T2: white lead) (see
documentation for standard device).
– If the prepared connecting cables are long enough, twist
them. (See connection plan, variant 1)
– If longer cables are required (max. 5 m), shorten the
prepared cables to at least 10 cm and connect them to
external terminal connections. From there on, use
shielded cables. (See connection plan, variant 2)
– When integrating the thermal contact into the system
monitoring, ensure that the mains supply will be
switched off when the brake resistor is overheated.
3. Mount PE conductor to PE stud (M4) 2 with ring cable lug.
– Implement PE connection in accordance with EN
61800−5−1.
– Observe tightening torque!
4. Place warning sticker 3 close to the device in a clearly
visible manner!
