C. Post Bonding and Core buildup
Note: On the prep, avoid pooling of adhesive before light curing of adhesive. Excess adhesive
can be removed with a dry applicator brush or absorbent paper point before light-curing
of the adhesive.
1.
Prepare post space. Size and fit post.
2.
Place adhesive on the post in a thin even layer, lightly air thin if necessary. Light-curing of the
adhesive is optional.
3.
Apply the dual-cure cement onto the post and/or into the post preparation, seat the post, and
vibrate the post slightly to avoid the possibility of trapped air.
4.
When you are satisfied that the post is properly seated, remove all excess cement. Light cure
all surfaces for a minimum of 20 seconds* per surface.
5.
Proceed with core buildup and /or preparation according to manufacturer's instructions for
use.
Note: NX3 can be used as a core buildup material.

1.
Remove polymerized excess with a finishing diamond bur.
2.

3.
Polish margins with Kerr Gloss Plus discs, cups, or points. Use Kerr HiLuster Plus Dia Polishers
for a final high luster shine.
4.
Check occlusion and make adjustments if necessary.
