Different electrical connections – with terminals circuit-board
6
The CareMat A01C (C=cable) includes a terminal
circuit-board in the housing.
The correct plug for connecting to the alarm system and its terminal
assignment are to be obtained from the relative system manufacturer.
Different electrical connections – with universal circuit-board
7
The CareMat A01P (P= circuit-board) inclu-
des a universal circuit-board in the housing.
The universal circuit-board can be adapted
to your needs by altering the switch positi-
ons. The wiring on the universal circuit-
board must not be removed.
The connections are protected against
wrong polarity of input voltage.
Variable resistance R
The universal circuit-board has two connector sockets for commercially-availa-
ble wired resistors. A call resistor that is specifically for the call system for line
monitoring can be installed in this. The connecting wiring should have a diame-
ter of between 0.38 and 0.56 mm. The socket spacing should be 14 mm.
NC contact
The NC (normally closed) contact option that can be selected on the universal
PCB is a transistor circuit that operates according to the quiescent current prin-
ciple. If the CareMat is not actuated, a quiescent current flows through the NC
contact as a result of the externally applied voltage. If the resident / patient

Maintenance and fault finding
The CareMat

is maintenance-free. If the cable should however be pulled
out, It should then simply be replaced: open housing, replace and connect up
cable. The cable ties around the connecting cable must be stripped using a
cable tie tool to avoid any slipping. Close the cover and lightly tighten the
screws.
If despite this the function is not being provided, the following checks
should be made:
• Is the call system operating and is the CareMat
• Is the plug, the plug connection or the cable damaged?
If the points mentioned above have been checked out, but the functions of
®
the CareMat
are, despite this, still not being provided, you should consult a
qualified expert.
