3 - Analysis of waveforms
An electrical signal is displayed on an oscilloscope as a graph representing the
variation of the voltage (amplitude) as a function of time. This graphic
representation is called a waveform.
The waveforms found in the most common vehicle components are sine, square
or more complex compositions.
Example: Sine wave with an amplitude of 20V peak to peak and period of 20ms.
