Description of the machine

The type IKAR HPL hoisting equipment of people and loads consists of a type IKAR DB-(...) mobile
aluminium tripod or of a type IKAR AASS-(....), IKAR ASS- (... ) stainless steel cantilever arm. The type
IKAR PLW hoisting gear and the type IKAR HRA fall arrest device are attached with a quick-change
bracket to the special mounting points of the tripod or cantilever arm.
People and loads can be hoisted, lowered and positioned with the manually operated hoisting gear with
automatic load pressure brake. The ratchet system of the hoisting gear secures the people or loads in
their position at all times. A rope guide at the hoisting drum allows the 6 mm hoisting cable to be wound
up and down safely, guided and with a low wear.
If people are to be hoisted, the person is attached with the access equipment to the hoisting gear's
cable. The mandatory fall arrest device is attached to a second specially marked mounting point on the
access equipment.
When loads are hoisted and lowered, no additional fall arrest device as redundant safeguard is required.
