IKAR Fall arrester with recovery mechanism (HRA) as component:
The IKAR Fall arrester with recovery mechanism HRA with recovery
mechanism is attached with a bracket to the leg with the nameplate.
To attach the fall arrester with recovery mechanism, mount the bracket
(, und ) to the leg in such a way that in case of a recovery the crank
of the recovery mechanism is in an ergonomically convenient position for
the fl agman. The length (45.8 mm) of the provided spacer sleeves allow
for the correct clamping stress of the bracket to be achieved. The torque
of the hex screws, grade 8.8 M10x75 is 49 Nm. The securing rail must be
positioned depending on the size of the device. The torque of the cylinder
head bolts of grade 8.8 M8x40 is 20 Nm. Insert the IKAR HRA device into
the bracket. Secure the IKAR HRA device with socket pins
Attention: Only IKAR brackets may be mounted. Only IKAR devices may

be inserted into IKAR brackets.

Defl ection Roller with karabiner:
The pulley wheel guides and defl ects the steel rope from the IKAR
Fall arrester with recovery mechanism HRA. Turn the plates in oppo-
site directions to open the closed pulley wheel () and put the steel
rope into the groove. Then turn the plates back. Attach the karabiner
to the pulley wheel and attach it to the mounting point of the tripod.
Attention:
Only use steel karabiners according to EN 362 Class B. Tighten the
screwed link on the karabiner well.
Check, that the rope pulley is free-moving.
The IKAR HRA device automatically pulls in the rope as long as
