lowering of people and loads according to the European directive 2006/42/EC.
Note: Also observe the corresponding operating and maintenance instructions of the
integrated components of the type IKAR DB-A..., IKAR AASS-(....), IKAR ASS- (... ), IKAR
PLW and IKAR IK G4 DW, IKAR IK G4 DWR.
1.
Failure to observe the operating instruction(s) can be fatal.
2.
There must be a plan with rescue measures that covers all emergencies that can
occur while working with the device.
3.
In the case of a hoisting gear failure, all measures must be taken to avoid a
suspension of the person for more than 20 minutes (danger of shock).
4.
The machine may only be used and operated by people that have been trained
accordingly and are competent. There must not be any health detriments (e.g. by
alcohol, drugs, medication or dizziness)!
5.
It is essential for the safety of the machine, that the setup of the tripod or cantilever
arm is vertical and stable.
Attention: Mobile tripods or cantilever arms must not be used on oily or slippery
grounds.
6.
The device should be setup as vertically above the opening as possible to avoid
diagonal pull.
7.
Before every operation the readability of the product marking must be checked and
the machine and its accessories must be checked visually for obvious defects.
8.
In case of any doubts about the safe working condition of the machine or one of its
accessories, the machine must be put out of operation and must be presented to
an authorized expert or the manufacturer. The machine may only be put back into
operation after written approval by the expert.
9.
The user must conduct trial suspensions close to the ground and under observation
of a second person to verify the exact fit of the access equipment.
10. When the tripod or cantilever arm has been mounted correctly, the hoisting gear and
the fall arrest device have been attached to the corresponding brackets, the operation
of the components has been checked and the connector (karabiner) of the fall arrest
device has been attached to the D ring of the access equipment marked with the
letter "A", the working person will be protected.
11. The nominal load of the hoisting gear is 300 kg for the first and last rope layer and
must not be exceeded.
12. The nominal load of the fall arrest device and the access device is 136 kg.
13. The mounting points on the tripod or cantilever arm are tested and certified according
to EN795 type B:2012 for securing and rescuing 1 person and according to CEN/TS
16415:2013 for securing and rescuing max. 2 people.
14. The operation of the brakes of the hoisting gear must be checked before every use.
There must be an audible click when it is switched to "Hoisting".
Note: The minimum pulling power for a correct brake operation is 30 kg. Without
minimum load the brake does not operate.
15. Never touch the wire rope without protective gloves. If a wire rope has been
damaged, it must no longer be used.
16. If people are to be hoisted, the hoisting gear cable must be attached with karabiner
to a D ring marked with the letter "A" on the access equipment. The fall arrest device
must be attached with a second D ring, also marked with the letter "A", to the access
