IKAR Two Point Fall Arrest Harnesses for suspended Work
Fall Arrester with recovery mechanism

The two point fall arrest harnesses for suspended work "IK G4 DW" and "IK G4 DW R" are certified
according to EN 361:2002, EN 1497:2007, EN 358:2000, EN 813:2008. They are intended to be used in
fall arrest systems of personal fall protection equipment (EN 363) and therefore must be used together
with other components of the personal fall protection equipment (PPE), e.g. energy absorbers EN 354/
EN 355.
The fall arrest attachments are clearly marked with the letter "A". Here the components of the fall arrest
systems of the PPE can be attached. Other eyes or loops may not be used for fall arrest purposes.
The "IK G4 DW R" has shoulder attachments for a use in confined spaces with limited room. The
shoulder attachments have been inspected and certified with CE-labelling according to EN 1497:2007
as rescue attachments and according to EN 361:2002 as fall arrest attachments. The shoulder
attachments should, however, only be used as fall arrest device, if they are connected to a fall arrester
with recovery mechanism EN 360 / EN 1496 with automatic roll-up and integrated return mechanism
where the retractable connector of the device comes directly from above. The shoulder attachments are
NOT suitable to be used together with energy absorbers EN 354 / EN 355 or guided type fall arresters
including a flexible anchor line EN 353-2.
