Note for mecablitz 40 MZ-1i, 40 MZ-3i:
During exposure the flash unit operates with a
partial light output in conjunction with TTL flash
control. Consequently, the adjusted partial light
output level may briefly appear on the LC-display
of the flash unit.
E-TTL flash control is automatically activated in the
TTL or EM flash mode when a mecablitz 40 MZ-1i
or 40 MZ-3i is used in conjunction with an SCA
3102 adapter and an EOS camera that supports
E-TTL flash control. The red E-TTL display
then illuminated on the SCA adapter.
Note for mecablitz 54 MZ-...
E-TTL flash control is not possible if
attachments are used, such as mecabounce,
wide-angle diffuser, etc.
When using a mecablitz 54 MZ-... with an
SCA 3102 adapter and an EOS camera that
supports E-TTL flash control, the E-TTL flash
control can be activated or deactivated by menu
control when the flash unit is in TTL mode.
Setting E-TTL flash mode:
• Press the MODE key until TTL flashes on the dis-
play. In the event that TTL ceases to flash then
press the MODE key once again.
• Turn the setting disk until E-TTL is displayed.
• Press the setting disk in the direction of the
arrow and store the setting. If the setting disk is
not depressed, then E-TTL will be automatically
