6.- Basic Functions
Turn on the TV set and all the peripheral equipment connected to the
system.
Turn on the receiver by means the I/O back panel switch.
Press the ON/OFF button (
Select one of the TV or Radio modes, using the TV/RADIO button.
(the TV mode is the factory-set default mode).
6.1.- How to Select Programs
The TV/Radio channels can be selected by using both the remote control
and the receiver buttons.
Press the TV/RADIO button to select the desired service mode (TV
channels or radio channels).
Press the OK button when you are viewing a program. The TV channel
list will then be shown on screen. Then select a program from the list
using the PR+/PR- buttons, and press OK to view. You can also page
along the channel list using the
Another way of selecting a program is, when you are already viewing
one, press the PR+ button to select the following one or the PR- button
to select the previous one either on the remote control or on the front
keyboard of the receiver. If you wish to go straight to a given program,
type its number on the numerical keyboard of the remote control.
The program you selected will appear immediately onscreen, together
with a small information window.
This information window shows us the program name and its position
on the list, as well as the list that has been selected at that moment (All
Channel, Group 1, Group 2, etc....). It also indicates the number of
audios available in the program and the selected audio mode.
If the program offers Tele-text or Subtitles, it shows the indications
"TTX" or "SubT", as
event and the next to be broadcasted.
When you press the INFO button, the same window described in the
previous paragraph appears.
If you press the INFO button again while you are viewing this window,
another screen will appear, showing the complete information available
corresponding to the program that has been selected.
It will also show the level and quality of the signal received with a bar-
type indicator.
To exit, press the EXIT button.
