Patient is underweight. There could be anorexic tendencies.
Weight should be increased to improve well-being and perfor-
mance. If in doubt, seek the advice of a consultant.
The patient's weight is normal.
The patient is slightly to moderately overweight. He or she
should lose weight if already suffering from a disease such as
diabetes, high blood pressure, gout or disorders of fat metab-
olism.
Weight needs to be lost urgently. The metabolism, the circula-
tory system and the bones are all under strain. A strict diet,
lots of physical activity and behavioral training are all recom-
mended. If in doubt, seek the advice of a consultant.
The scale has two weighing ranges. In weighing range
1 (
), capacity is reduced, but the increments in the
weight display are finer. In weighing range 2 (
can use the maximum capacity of the scale.
After the scale is switched on, weighing range 1 is
active. If a particular weight is exceeded, the scale
automatically switches to weighing range 2.
To switch back to weighing range 1, proceed as
follows.

Completely remove the load from the scale.
Weighing range 1 is active again.
