Handling and Operation

NOTES
• Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water to make
coffee!
• Never overfi ll the permanent fi lter.

Time

As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display lighting turns on and the
time display 12:00 starts fl ashing. The clock has a 24-hour time format.
1. Set the hours by pressing the Std (hrs) button (12).
2. Set the minutes by pressing the Min button (8).
Hold down the respective button to run through the hours / minutes quickly.
The time is saved until a new time is set or the device has been disconnected from the
power supply.

Filling the Water Tank

1. Open the lid (1) (Picture A).
2. Pour the quantity of water you want (min. 240 ml, max. 420 ml) into the water tank (3). Pay
attention to the fi ll-level indicator in the water tank (Picture B)!
The fi ll-level indicator is specifi ed in oz (ounces):
8 oz = approx. 240 ml (minimum fi ll level)
10 oz = approx. 300 ml
14 oz = approx. 420 ml (maximum fi ll level)
3. Close the lid.

Inserting the Filter

1. Open the lid (1).
2. If you have not already done so, insert the fi lter insert (17) into the fi lter compartment (2).
When you do this, make sure that the handle fi ts in the recess which is provided for it in
the fi lter compartment (Picture C).
3. Insert the permanent fi lter (16) into the fi lter insert.
4. Close the lid.
