5. INSTRUCTIONS

5.1. BEFORE USE

5.1.1. BABY UNIT POWER SUPPLY
The camera or baby unit of this baby monitor is designed to be used with the AC/DC
adapter supplied.
1. Locate the connector socket (VII) on the back of the baby unit.
2. Connect the adapter cable to the mini USB socket of the camera. Use only the adapter
supplied.
3. Plug the adapter into the mains.
Warning: Choking hazard – Keep the cord out of the baby's reach. NEVER place a
camera with cables less than 1 metre from the cot. Never use extension cords with
AC adapters. Use only the AC adapters supplied.
5.2. OPERATION
5.2.1. TURNING THE CAMERA ON/OFF
To turn the camera on or off, keep the on button (II) pressed in for two seconds. The power
LED (VIII) will go on and off depending on whether you turn the unit on or off.
When you have installed the camera and turned it on, you can see the images and listen to
the sounds captured in your baby's room via the monitor.
Remember that to see the image of this camera on your monitor you must first pair the
units following the instructions shown in section 5.2.8.
5.2.2. INFRARED NIGHT VISION (AUTOMATIC)
The infrared night vision function enables the camera to capture images of your baby or of
the monitored area when it is dark or there is little light.
In this mode images will only be shown on the monitor in black and white and you will only
be able to see images situated less than 2 metres away.
The camera constantly monitors the light level and automatically switches to infrared mode
when there is not enough light for normal vision.
5.2.3. ACCOMPANYING LIGHT
To enable the camera's accompanying light, press the menu button on your monitor to
access the main menu and the icon. A submenu will appear which represents the night
light of each of the 4 possible cameras. Press the icon the camera you want and the
bulb will go on or off depending on what the accompanying light does.
You can also turn the camera light on or off by pressing the icon on the main
screen. The icon will be accompanied by the word ON or OFF depending on whether the
accompanying light of the camera whose image is being shown is on or off.
5.2.4. LULLABIES
You can calm the baby down so it can sleep more easily by means of a soothing lullaby
which will play on the baby's unit. To enable this function, press the menu button on your
monitor to access the main menu and the icon.
Firstly, you must choose the camera on which you wish to play the tune you are going to
select. After selecting the camera, press the icon you prefer to play one of the 4 lullabies
available or stop playing the music if it has already been activated. You can choose
between three volume levels, allowing the ideal atmosphere to be created for your baby to
rest or have fun.
