8. Install the Top Track
NOTE: The top track is designed so either side may be positioned facing outward according to your
preference.
Measure the distance (dimension "D2") from the wall to the transition jamb at the top of the wall
jambs.
Measure the distance from the wall to the transition jamb, including the in-line panel, at the top of
the wall jambs.
Mark the top track at the determined dimension.
NOTE: For best results, use a 32 teeth per inch hacksaw blade and miter box.
Cut the top track on the inside edge of the mark [approximately 1/32" (1 mm) from the mark] to
allow space for the top track to slide into place easily.
Carefully file the cut edges until smooth, taking care to avoid damaging finished surfaces.
Place the top track over the wall jambs.
From the inside of the shower, measure 1/2" (13 mm) up from the bottom edge of the top track,
and measure 3/4" (19 mm) in from the outside edge. Mark with a pencil.
At the marked location, drill a 5/32" (4 mm) hole through both the wall jamb and top track.
From inside the shower, repeat the steps on the other end of the top track.
Secure the top track with two #8-18 x 3/8" panhead screws.
Repeat this process for the top track over the end panel, measuring the distance of dimension "D3".
