DANGER The indicate measurements refer to new power tools. Daily
usa causes the noise and vibration values to change.
Displayed emission values are comparative and are to be employed for a provisio-
nal assessment of the operator's risk exposure during the work period. Appropriate
evaluation of work period must also include tool's idle and stop periods. These
emission values represent the tool's main applications. If the tool is used for other
applications, with other accessories, or if it does not undergo regular maintenance,
emission values can significantly increase during operations.

STARTING UP
WARNING Pay attention to the mains voltage! The mains voltage must
correspond to the voltage indicated on the technical data identification
label (1).

BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL

Before starting-up the tool, ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been
damaged during storage or transport;
- the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool;
- the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
- all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper manner and that
there are no signs of damage;
- the ventilation slots are not obstructed.
FITTING/REPLACING ABRASIVE WHEELS OR CUTTERS
AR11S - AR52ES:
- Insert the stem of the wheel or cutter in the collet seating (5);
- keep the collet spindle (4) still using the wrench (7) supplied and tighten
lock-nut (6);
- check that the tool does not rotate off-centre.
When the need arises to use tools having a spindle diameter of Ø 3 mm, fit the
reduction collet supplied as accessory.
To fit the reduction collet:
- unscrew nut (6);
- insert the reduction collet;
- re-tighten the nut (6) then follow the normal tool fitting procedure.
AR38S - AR38ES:
- Fit pliers (Part. No. 921.131 or 922.131) into the out (Part No. 513.131) and
make sure that they are housed in their seal;
- fit the milling cutter into the pliers, paying attention to the stem diameter
which shall be equal to the pliers hole;
- it is recommended to assemble the collet together with the nut (6). Then
insert the cutter.
- tighten the nut, the pliers and milling cutter on the pliers-holding shall (Part
No. 515.31).
When the need arises to use tools having a spindle diameter of Ø 3 mm or Ø
6,35 mm, replace the collet supplied with the spare collet having the necessary

seat diameter.
To make the replacement:
-
unscrew the nut (6);
-
substituite the collet;
-
re-tighten the nut (6) then follow the normal tool fitting procedure (see fitting
3).
WARNING: Before use, check the state of the wheels/cutters The
wheels/cutters must be properly assembly and must rotate freely. Never
use defective, damaged or coaxial wheels/cutters. Defective
wheels/cutters can fall to pieces and cause the danger of accidents.
Start the tool and check that there are no unusual vibration, or dismatching
movement of the tool. Otherwise switch-off the tool immediately and
eliminate the cause.
