Seal vertical seams and top edge of
panels with polystyrene sealant.
Seal
plumbing
fixture
holes with
polystyrene
sealant.
Seal horizontal seams between wall
panels and receptor with polypropylene sealant.
7. Seal Seams
Apply masking tape 3/16" (5 mm) from the edge on both sides of the seams that will be sealed.
Rub your finger over the taped edges to ensure secure adhesion.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Select sealant recommended for use with polypropylene
surfaces to seal the receptor-to-wall seams. This will ensure a proper seal and prevent water
damage.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Select sealant recommended for use with the polystyrene
surfaces to seal the plumbing fixture holes and the vertical seams of the wall panels and corner
panels. This will ensure a proper seal and prevent water damage.
Apply a 3/16" (5 mm) bead of sealant to:
• the entire length of the seams between the bottom of the wall panels and the receptor.
• the vertical seams of the fixed wall panels and corner panel.
• the top edge of each fixed wall panel, corner panel, and around each plumbing fixture hole.
• around each plumbing fixture hole.
Install the faucet handles and showerhead according to the manufacturer's instructions.
8. Install Bottom "C" Frame
Place the bottom "C" frame on the shower base ledge, as illustrated.
Position each end of the bottom "C" frame 1/8" (3 mm) away from the wall and about 1/4" (6 mm)
in from the outside ledge of the shower base.
Mark the ledge with a pencil along the front edge of the bottom "C" frame.
