Before storing the unit for an extended period:
1.Be sure the storage area is free of excessive humidity and dust.
2.Drain the fuel.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under certain
conditions. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area.
a. Remove the carburetor drain
screw and drain the gasoline
from the carburetor into a
suitable container.
b. Install and tighten the drain
screw securely.
c. Turn the fuel valve to the OFF position and remove the fuel valve
lever and left side cover. Stand the left side cover against the front
side so it does not interfere with your work. Remove the fuel
sediment cup (see page 37).
d. Set the fuel valve lever onto the fuel valve, and turn the fuel valve
to the ON position and drain the gasoline from the fuel tank into a
suitable container.
