PROCESS STEPS IN THE DENTAL LABORATORY
Casting-channel (sprue) arrangement
▷ Use cross beam or ring channel with 5 mm thickness.

▷ Fasten sprue channel with Ø 3 mm × 2 mm length at the highest
point. Form soft transitions.
Investment
▷ Line out investment ring. For large investment rings (size 6 and 9),
use two layers.
▷ Position modelling (wax-up) centred in the investment ring: Place
cross beam in the heat centre with even distance to rim of invest-
ment ring.
▷ Process investment material according to manufacturer's specifi-
cations. Recommended investment material – Giroinvest Super.
Preheating
▷ Expel wax.
▷ Select heating rate according to specifications for processing of the
investment materials.
▷ Select the dwell time at final temperature depending on the size of
the investment ring. Select final temperature according to manu-
facturer's specifications (950 - 1050 °C).
