PROCESS STEPS IN THE DENTAL LABORATORY
Casting
E N
Girobond NBS can be cast in all dental casting systems suitable for
non-ferrous metal alloys.
▷ -Place casting cylinder in a ceramic melting pot (1 cube ~ 6 g).
▷ When the last casting cylinder has joined the molten material and
the molten material tears apart, draw off immediately.
▷ After the casting, allow the investment ring to slowly cool in the air.
Divesting / Finishing
▷ Blast off frame with 110 – 250 μm aluminium oxide.
▷ Blast off critical, delicate areas with 50 μm aluminium oxide.
▷ Cut off the casting channels with a cutting disc.
▷ Work out frame using carbide bur (cross-toothed) or ceramic-
bonded stone.
▷ Polish frame.

When the melting pots are preheated in the furnace, the melt-
ing process can be shortened.
▷ Do not use melting pots for other alloys.
▷ Do not overheat alloy.
▷ Only cast new metal to ensure alloy properties and for
clear batch traceability.
For vacuum pressure-casting machines:
▷ Melt-up alloy without vacuum.
Set the model casting program and switch off the vacuum
or reduce it as far as possible.
