PROCESS STEPS IN THE DENTAL LABORATORY
Ceramic veneering
▷ Observe manufacturer's specifications for the ceramic being used.
Depending on the ceramics being used, the times and temperatures
of the firings may vary.
Finish
▷ Gloss up metal edges using silicone polish. Prevent heat generation.
Production of model casting
Sprueing technique
▷ Provide for casting channels to the most massive modelling areas.
Investment
▷ Process phosphate-bonded model-cast investment material accord-
ing to manufacturer's specifications.
Preheating
▷ Expel wax.
▷ Select heating rate according to specifications for processing of the
investment materials.
▷ Select the dwell time at final temperature depending on the size of
the investment ring. The final temperature is 950 – 1050 °C.
