WARNING:
When the mix has reached the required quality, unlock the lever on the gearbox mounting frame (ref. Fig. 1),
position a suitable container under the mixing drum and, while the drum is still rotating, discharge the mix by operating the
tipping lever.
When tilting the drum to discharge the concrete, do so slowly. It is important to perform the discharge smoothly, this keeps the
machine balanced and upright.
In the case of an emergency, immediately press the switch or disconnect the power supply.
The electric motor is protected from thermal overloads. If it overheats the mixer will stop. Allow the motor to cool down before
restarting.
6.1 - Risks of use
-» Do not insert any part of the body inside the drum; do not introduce a shovel or hands in the drum when drum is rotating.
-» Cement dust is an irritating agent for eyes, respiratory lungs, skin. Avoid long and repeated contact with fresh cement .Use respiratory mask,
goggles and gloves. In case of rash, clean with running water. If rash persist, contact medical personnel.
-» Inserting an object in the drum whilst in function may cause serious accidents; for the mixers can grasp the object making it twirl in the
operators' direction.
-» NB - Any use of this equipment besides the purpose for which it has been designed can constitute a threat to the physical integrity of the
operator and to whoever is close by.
6.2 - Aid in case of damage
DAMAGE
The machine does not work
(Electrical Engine)
The wheel does not turn or turns with effort
NB. Do not open the back cover of the concrete mixer with an electrical engine, before certifying that the power supply has been interrupted.
6.3 - Repairing
-» The repair of this machine should be done by qualified technicians in order to prevent any danger.
-» check that the cover of the motor is closed down before plunging in the socket and starting the machine!
6.4 - Individual Protection Equipment
-» The operator of this machine should use gloves, eyeglasses and auricular protection.
7- MAINTENANCE
WARNING: before carrying out any form of maintenance work, always switch off the mixer and unplug it from the power supply.
- Replace worn or faulty components using original spare parts. Examine periodically the good state of the power cable and, if
necessary, make sure that possible repairs or replacements are carried out. Any repairs to the electrical system must be
carried out by specialized personnel.
- Only Altrad original spare parts must be used and must not be modified in any way.
Due to its particular construction features, the mixer does not require frequent maintenance. However, it is advisable to change the
oil in the reduction gear with SAE 40 oil after 3000 hours of work.
- Check that the contacts of the plug-switch unit are clean. Any corrosion must be removed immediately.
Used oil is classified as Special Waste by law and must be treated as such.
Always ensure that any writing or signs on the machine are legible.

Lack of lubrication
RESOLUTION
Disconnect the machines plug and verify if there is
electrical current. Verify the existence of any damage
in the cable linking, the plug or the plug linking.
Place some oil drops in the yokes' rear socket.
Lubricate with mass the yokes' front socket.
