If you do not need to use the device for a rel-
atively long time, take it out of operation. To
do this, unplug the mains plug!
8.1. Inserting the batteries into
the device
 The battery compartment is located at the rear of
the device.
 Release the latch and remove the battery com-
partment cover.
 Insert four 1.5 V R6/LR6/AA batteries (not sup-
plied) with the negative ends on the springs. Re-
fer to the diagrams in the battery compartment!
 Replace the battery compartment cover.
The device is battery-operated if no mains adapter is
connected to the DC 5.9V IN socket.
The device is now in standby mode.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion if batteries are re-
placed incorrectly.
 Replace batteries only with the

same or equivalent type.
