Initial operation
Mains operation - connecting the mains cable
Insert the mains adapter plug into the mains power socket of the device.
Plug the mains adapter into an easily accessible 230 V ~ 50Hz mains socket.
CAUTION!
Only use the supplied mains adapter (manufacturer: Ktec; model no.:
KA23A060060034G). A type plate with the relevant details can be found on
the mains adapter.
Battery operation - inserting the batteries into the
device
The battery compartment is located at the back of the device.
Undo the screw on the battery compartment cover at the back of the device and
open the battery compartment.
Insert four 1.5 V R14/LR14/C batteries (not supplied) with the negative end resting
on the springs. Refer to the diagram in the battery compartment!
Close the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.
NOTE
If batteries are inserted and the mains cable is not connected, the device
will automatically run on the batteries.
Switch device on/off
Turn the function switch to the desired position:
O F F : The device is switched off.
F M : Radio operation in FM
A M : Radio operation in MW
Decommissioning
If you do not need to use the device for a relatively long time, please take it out of op-
eration.
To do this, unplug the mains adapter and take out the batteries.
Aerial

For FM reception, a flexible aerial is included with the device. Screw the aerial into
the thread provided on the top of the device.

There is a built-in ferrite aerial for MW reception. Turn the device to the ideal posi-
tion for reception.
