Checking the clutch lever play KTM & HQV
- Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position.
- Pull the clutch lever until resistance is perceptible and check
for play.
- The clutch lever must not have any play.
Adjusting play in the clutch lever KTM & HQV
- Push back sleeve

- Loosen lock nut
.
- Adjust adjusting screw
until the clutch lever has no more
play.
- Tighten lock nut
.
- Position sleeve
.
- Move the handlebar from left to right and back across the
entire steering range.
- The clutch lever must not have any play.
- If the play in the clutch lever changes:
- Check the routing of the clutch cable.
When engaging the centrifugal clutch, the play in the
clutch lever increases. This happens when the speed in-
creases from idle to about 5,000 rpm. The play is caused
by the expansion of the EXP friction disc, which lifts the
clutch pressure plate from the trigger assembly.
The ideal play in the clutch lever is 3 mm, measured at
the end of the lever
