iron, due to its construction, do not allow the user to be protected against the hot
parts.
- The steam is generated by a pump: to protect the pump, do not use the steam
function in the absence of water.
- Check the labels of fabrics to make certain they are suitable for ironing at the
operating temperatures of the appliance, and also suitable for steam treatment.
- Be careful that the appliance is always free and that it is not covered by fabric or other
elements during operation.
.- Be careful that the power cord and the steam cord are in good condition, that they
are not contact between the iron or other hot parts, with sharp edges, or twisted, and
that the are completely free and fully extended.
- Be careful that during heating, pauses during use, and cooling, the iron is set in its
seat on the base, and that it is not set on surfaces that could be damaged or that can
burn.
First use
I) Fully extend the power cord and steam cord. Fill the water tank (see the paragraph
warnings) and returned to its seat. Be careful that the water does not overflow onto
the base. Dry with care if necessary.
II) Insert the plug into the electric socket. Check that the iron is fit properly into its seat
on the base, and activate the Level 2 temperature.
III) Operate the iron horizontally without setting it on fabrics or your sheets. Under
these same conditions, activate the steam command multiple times. During initial use,
the iron may emit non-hazardous fumes or odours: this phenomenon is harmless to
the user of the iron and quickly dissipates. When the water in the tank runs out, put
the iron in Stand-by and then turn off the appliance completely, removing the plug
from the outlet.
To use, proceed as indicated above in para. I). Check the fabric label to confirm if the
garment can be hot ironed, what the maximum temperature is, and if it can be
steamed. Then insert the plug in the electric outlet, check that the iron is seated
properly in the base, and choose the suitable temperature level (Level 1 or Level 2).
While the iron is heating up, lay out the garment on the ironing board/surface and
when the iron has reached the temperature, proceed to iron either dry or with steam.
If you wish to refresh fabric with steam, hang the garment on a hanger and extend the
fabric slightly with your hand, then bring the iron close to the garment (keep the plate
a few centimetres away from the fabric) and activate the steam, moving up and down.
Use the brush to allow the steam to penetrate more completely into the garment.
Once the operation is completed, put the appliance in stand-by, set the iron in its
seat, and, to turn off the appliance completely, unplug it from the electric outlet.
