The five inputs of the 6109U-500 enable up to five switches/
pushbuttons from conventional ABB programs to be con-
nected.
Aside from ON/OFF switches also pushbuttons for the
control of dimming or Venetian blind functions can be op-
erated via this unit.
The inputs are separate and of floating type. No external
voltage source must have been applied to the contacts of
switches and pushbuttons!
The interrogation voltage is provided by the 6109U-500.
Switches/pushbuttons are connected via lines (to be ex-
tended by means of the cable harness included in the
supply) permanently attached to the unit. This cable harness
has color-coded connecting leads that enable the wires to
be directly assigned to inputs 1 ... 5. These lines may then
be extended up to a total length of 10 m.
