2 Pin assignment of the multipin plug
For controlling the valves, each valve solenoid coil (re-
ferred to in the following as coil) is assigned to a certain
pin of the multipin plug. Valve locations for controlling one
coil then occupy one address; valve locations for control-
ling two coils then occupy two addresses, irrespective of
whether they are fitted with valves or blanking plates.
Caution
The components of the valve terminal contain electros-
tatically sensitive elements. The components will be
damaged if you touch the contact surfaces of the plug
connectors and if you do not observe the regulations
for handling electrostatically sensitive components.
Long signal cables reduce the immunity to interference.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted signal cable
length of 10 m.
Recommendation:
Use the following plugs and cables from the Festo range
for connecting the CPA-SC valve terminal with sub-D multi-
pin connection.
– Type: KMP6-25P-12-.. Terminal with 4 or 6 valve locations
– Type: KMP6-25P-20-.. Terminal with 4 - 20 valve locations
