The HCV 400 unit utilizes an USB-B connection, for changing the units parameters via Dan-
therm PC-Tool/ MS Windows PC .
Check that the unit is working as it should and that 230V can easily be connected and discon-
nected .
The following tools are necessary for updating the HCV 400 unit firmware
• Computer (PC) with Windows and an available USB slot
• USB cable- USB_A to USB_B plugs (printer cable)
• Dantherm PC-Tool
Follow this procedure to connect the PC and HCV 400 unit:
Step Action
1 Turn on the Computer
2 Install PC Tool – this can be ordered from your Dantherm dealer .
3 Power on HCV 400 with no USB cable connected .
4 Connect USB cable
5 Start PC-Tool
6 Login
Start Dantherm PC-Tool and select your unit on the start screen, select: "connect" .
Log in with:
• Installer = "1234"
• User = password is not necessary
Air volumes – supply air and extracted air should always be adjusted so that they
comply correctly with the ventilation level in accordance with legislation .
Go to calibration tab in PC-Tool to adjust the fan level .
