Clamp the end-milling cutter by means of the
clamping collet and locking nut:
To fit the clamping collet, it is advisable to adjust
the putty cutter to maximum milling depth and
arrest it by means of the clamp knob [1-13].
Insert the clamping collet [3-2] in the motor
spindle [3-1], and tighten the locking nut lightly
by hand [3-3 --> + ].
Insert the end-milling cutter into the clamping
collet, and tighten the locking nut with a 22 mm
open-end ed spanner.
Slot and rebating cutters have a tapered shank [3-
4], and are secured by means of alocking nut [3-5]:
Turn the locking nut on the cutter down to the
start of the shaft [3-5 --> - ].
Insert the tapered shank into the motor spindle,
and tighten the locking nut with a 22 mm open-
end ed spanner [3-5 --> +].
6.2
Setting the milling depth
The milling depth is adjusted in three stages:
Setting the zero point
Open the clamping lever [1-6] so that the stop
cylinder [1-7] can move freely.
Place the router with router table onto a smooth
surface. Open the rotary knob [1-13] and press
the machine down until the milling cutter rests
on the base.
Clamp the machine in this position by tightening
the rotary knob [1-13].
Press the stop cylinder against one of the three
sensing stops of the pivoted turret stop [1-9].
The individual height of each sensing stop can be
adjusted with a screwdriver:
Sensing stop
min. / max. height
A
38 mm / 44 mm
B
44 mm / 54 mm
C
54 mm / 67 mm
Push the pointer [1-14] down so that it shows 0
mm on the scale [1-12].
Setting the milling depth
The desired milling depth can be set either with the
quick depth adjustment or with the fine depth ad-
justment.
Quick depth adjustment
Pull the stop cylinder [1-7] up until the pointer
shows the desired milling depth.
14
Clamp the stop cylinder in this posi tion with the
clamping lever [1-6].
Fine depth adjustment
Clamp the stop cylinder with the clamping lever
[1-6].
Set the desired milling depth by turning the ad-
justing wheel [1-5] in.
Turn the adjusting wheel to the next mark on the
scale to adjust the milling depth by 0.1 mm. One full
turn adjusts the milling depth by 1 mm. The maxi-
mum adjustment range with the adjust ing wheel is
8 mm.
Increasing the milling depth
Open the rotary knob [1-13] and press the tool
down until the stop cylinder touches the sensing
stops.
Clamp the machine in this position by tightening
the rotary knob [1-13].
6.3
Adjustable glass rest and splinter guard
For the renovation of windows with the glass in
place, a glass rest [4-1] is used to support the ma-
chine on the glass.
In order to prevent scratches, this has a coating on
its bearing surface.
To carry out height adjustment, loosen the rotary
knob [4-2]. The freely-movable splinter guard [4-3]
is in contact with the shank of the glass rest [4-4],
and is always set correctly for any position of the
glass rest. For milling work in the corners of win-
dows, the splinter guard can be lifted by hand.
 Note: From time to time, the splinter guard
should be clean ed to free it of putty remains,
etc.

Electronics

– Do not use the machine when the electronics are
faulty because the machine may operate at ex-
cessive speeds. An absence of the smooth start-
up function or speed control indicates that the
electronics are faulty.
The machine features full-wave electronics with
the following features:
Smooth start-up
The electronically controlled smooth start-up en-
sures that the machine starts up jolt-free.
Constant speed
The motor speed remains constant through elec-
tronic control to ensure a uniform cutting speed
even when under load.
