Observe caution when using the fl ash.
• Using a fl ash in close contact with the skin or other objects could
cause burns.
• Using the fl ash close to the subject's eyes could cause temporary
visual impairment. Stay at least 1 m (3 ft 4 in.) from the subject when
using the fl ash.
• Do not aim the fl ash at the operator of a motor vehicle. Failure to
observe this precaution could result in accidents.

Keep out of reach of children. Failure to observe this precaution could result
in injury. In addition, note that batteries and other small parts constitute
a choking hazard. Should a child swallow any part of this equipment,

consult a physician immediately.

Do not dive while holding. To prevent injury caused by blows from the
equipment, do not hold it while jumping or diving into water.

Do not eat silicon grease. Silicon grease is not edible.

Do not handle the unit with wet hands unless the battery holder is in place. Fail-
ure to observe this precaution could result in electric shock.

Observe caution when handling batteries. Batteries may leak, overheat, or
rupture if improperly handled. When handling batteries for use in this
product, follow all instructions and warnings printed on or included
with the batteries and observe the following precautions:
• Use only the types listed in this manual. Do not combine old and
new batteries or batteries of diff erent makes or types.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. When re-
charging NiMH batteries, follow instructions and use compatible
chargers only.
• Insert batteries in the correct orientation.
• Batteries may become hot if the fl ash is fi red multiple times in quick suc-
cession. When removing the batteries, take precautions to avoid burns.
• Do not short or disassemble batteries or attempt to remove or oth-
erwise damage the battery insulation or casing.
• Do not expose to fl ame or excessive heat, immerse in or expose to
water, or subject to physical force.
