- Select the required gear by putting the gear
lever (fig. 10, part. A) in the corresponding
position for the gear: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or RG as
shown on the switch on the gearlever.
- Use lever B (fig. 11) to select slow or
fast gears for versions with this additional
feature.
- When changing gear, the motor must
always be running idle and the belt tension
lever must be disengaged.
- To start work, accelerate the motor and then
gently pull the power hoe control lever (fig.
part. 1) to start cutter rotation.
Cutter rotation can be stopped at
any time by releasing the power
hoe control lever (fig. 1, part. 1)

TIPS FOR WORKING
WITH THE POWER HOE
- With the motor running, rest the tines on
the ground and press the spike into the soil,
keeping a firm grip on the power hoe (fig.
1, part 13).
- Pull the lever (fig. 1, part 1) on the handlebars
so the cutter penetrates the soil.
- Lift the spike up a little using the handlebars
and the power hoe will progress forwards.
NOTE – When you are working, the spike
must always remain under the surface of
the soil.
