To Activate the Faucet Monitor; See Figure 9.
To activate the faucet monitor, turn the base of the faucet counter-
clockwise. A flashing green light indicates that the monitor has been
activated. A red flashing light indicates the filter needs to be
replaced.

Replacing Faucet Battery; See Figure 10.
1. Remove the spout of the faucet from the base of the faucet:
Holding on to the faucet base with one hand and holding the
base of the spout with the other, pull up firmly on the spout.
2. Remove the outer sleeve from the faucet base: Press the two
white tabs in toward each other and slide the base sleeve up
and off of the faucet base.
3. Slide the old battery out of the battery compartment and note
the position of the battery.
4. Slide the new battery into the battery compartment.
NOTE: The faucet monitor will automatically reset and run
through a self test. The monitor self test is complete after the red
LED has finished flashing and the green LED resumes flashing.
5. Align the sleeve with the valve stem of the base and install the
outer sleeve back over the faucet base.
6. Insert the faucet spout back into the base and press firmly.
NOTE: Cloudy water is due to the presence of air released from
the carbon between uses. Cloudy water should clear quickly.
Cloudy water is normal when cartridge(s) are new. Cloudiness
may be reduced by running the water for 5-7 seconds before
collecting it for use.
NOTE: Air bubbles my be present for 2-3 days or so until the fil-
ter has become fully saturated.
