OILING THE CHAIN (for Pole pruner ITKS 800)
The saw chain must be oiled before use and after clean-
ing. Only use chainsaw oil.
- Oil the entire saw chain evenly.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Caution!
Before performing troubleshooting, switch off the
tool and remove the battery.
The following table shows fault symptoms and describes
how they can be rectified if your machine is not function-
ing properly. If this does not help you localise and rectify
the problem, contact your service workshop.
For pole pruner
PROBLEM
The guide plate and the chain run
hot and smoke.
The motor is running but the chain
is not turning.
For the hedge trimmer
The hedge trimmer runs slowly and
sluggishly.
The motor is running but the blade
is not moving
The device is smoking.
The blade does not cut correctly or
the blade is smoking.

POSSIBLE REASONS
The chain is tensioned too tightly
The lubrication oil tank for the chain
is empty.
The chain tension is too tight.
The guide plate and/or the chain is
damaged
The mains voltage is too low
The gearbox is jammed.
The device is defective. Do not
use it.
The blade is not lubricated.

Tension the chain in accordance
with the „Chain tensioning" section
in these operating instructions.
Check the chain's lubrication oil
tank.
Tension the chain again in accor-
dance with the „Chain tensioning"
section in these operating instructions.
See „Installing the chain and guide
plate" in these operating instructions.
Check the guide plate and the chain.
The cross-section of the extension
cable is not large enough (see the
extension cable section).

Clean the blade after each use.
Lubricate it with universal oil or with
a spray lubricant.
