Check that the threads are clean; free of paint and debris.
Follow the manufacturer's assembly, adjustment and maintenance indications.
For the chain drive unit's assembly we advise the use of a work stand to hold the frame by
its front and back wheel fastenings.
Your frame comes with the new specifically
profiled «e-post» saddle stem and a set
of height adjustment spacers (including a
shock absorber elastomer).
The saddle's fastening device, patented by
LOOK, allows using the 3 types of E-post
available:
• E-post: offering saddle setback of -15 to
-45 mm micrometric.
• E-post R5: setback of -5 mm or advance of
+ 5 mm, reversible. This seatpost (E-Post)
is advised for the 986 and comes with the
frame.
• E-post R32: setback of -32 mm or advance
of+32 mm.
NOTE: The frame comes with a very long
saddle tube that has to be cut to achieve
the E-Post (seatpost) installation. The
operating procedure is described after
the saddle mounting procedure on the
seatpost.
