DRIVER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Be sure to de-energize the luminaire and allow to cool before performing
maintenance.
2.
Clean cover heat sink with a damp cloth to prevent dust from entering fixture.
3.
Open back cover/heat sink using a 5/8" nut socket or flat head screwdriver (see
Figure 1). The heat sink cover should be removed by pulling back on one corner
of the top most edge to prevent gasket damage. Inspect for damage to gasket.
Should any rips or tears appear, discontinue use of fixture.
4.
Replace one driver at a time to prevent cross-wiring. If needed, wiring diagrams
have been provided. Identify a driver that needs replacement. Disconnect the
input and output leads. It may be necessary to disconnect dimming leads as
well. Depending on model, a wire tie may need to be clipped and thrown away.
A new wire tie has been provided.
5.
Remove four (4) screws securing the driver. New screws are provided as part
of replacement kit. Inspect thermal pad for rips and tears. A new pad has been
provided as part of replacement kit. The old pad may be gently scraped away.
6.
Replace thermal pad, driver and screws; torque screws to 5 in.-lbs.
7.
Reconnect input and output wires per wiring diagrams. Ensure that the positive
(+) and negative (-) leads of the drivers are paired together per the wiring diagram
(Example: The yellow wire with red strip is connected to the red conductor of a
driver, and the yellow wire with black strip is connected to the black conductor
of the same driver). Reconnect dimming leads, if necessary.
8.
Repeat Steps 4-7 for remaining driver, if necessary.
9.
Install new wire tie around all driver input and output wires.
10.
Re-install back cover/heat sink and tighten all nine (9) mounting screws to 22 in.-
lbs. (2.5 N-m). Be sure wires are not pinched during cover installation.
